TruthMuseum
TruthMuseum is the teaching platform for our Children’s Ministry at our Chaffee campus.
TruthMuseum is strategically designed to engage children in a fun, engaging learning environment where we teach the Bible. One of the most fundamental aspects of teaching children is to reaffirm that the Bible and its message is true. These are not stories but actual history of how God planned and promised salvation for us and brought Jesus into human history to be our Savior.
Raising children who can defend the faith
Every lesson, activity, spiritual discipline, and teaching method utilized in TruthMuseum consistently undergirds this fundamental truth: The Bible and its message of Jesus Christ is true. The truth of Scripture is under consistent attack in modern culture. Children grow up with many competing voices with differing interpretations of truth. We want to teach them both the content and veracity of scripture. The Bible as God’s divinely inspired Word is true and dependable. We work to teach them to believe in the Bible itself and be able to depend on and defend this belief.
Empowering parents to go beyond Sunday morning
TruthMuseum is a platform that captures a child’s love of museum type learning add an apologetics foundation to their Bible learning. We utilize a few basic principles to guide our teaching. First, is the fundamental principle that the Bible and its message of Jesus is authentic, defendable truth. Second, we use TruthMuseum as a platform to layer multiple, creative learning methods that capture the curiosity and energy of children for engaged learning. Third, we want to go beyond just Sunday mornings. We know that parents are the most important disciple makers in a child’s life, so we are constantly developing tools for parents to utilize at home during the week. This engages parents fully in the discipleship process, and we want to support parents in the discipleship of their children. Finally, we work to incorporate specific spiritual disciplines into our lessons such as memorizing Scripture and learning to use the Bible.
Using trusted materials
We use the Sunday School curriculum from Answers in Genesis as the base for our teaching each week. This curriculum is Bible focused and incorporates the fundamental principle that the Bible and its message of Jesus is true.
