SUMMARY:Special 60+ Lunch: Avoiding Scams
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, September 10 we are having a *special* 60+ Lunch that will provide up-to-date information on avoiding scams. This has been a highly-requested topic in our 60+ group at FBC. With the advanced tools available to con artists today\, we all need to be alert and informed on how to protect ourselves and our families. The lunch takes place at FBC Downtown’s Fellowship Hall\, and the cost is $5.00. \nBarrett Milam and Wes Milam\, FBC members with excellent backgrounds in law and law enforcement\, are our special presenters. The Milams will provide current information from the Arkansas Attorney General’s office\, the FBI\, and the Federal Trade Commission\, just to name a few. We will examine how to avoid being scammed\, and what quick steps to take if you have been scammed. \nThis special lunch will run longer than usual\, ending around 1:00 pm. We are opening this edition of the lunch to people outside our 60+ group who want to learn more about this topic.
