FBCFS Statement

At First Baptist Church Fort Smith, the safety and well-being of our students and children is—and will always be—our highest priority. We were recently notified by the State of Arkansas that an allegation has been made regarding inappropriate conduct by our student pastor, Brad Richardson, dating back to his early teen years. Most importantly, we want to let you know that this allegation does not involve First Baptist Church or any individuals connected to our congregation.

After consultation with our Personnel Committee, legal counsel, and church leadership, Brad has been placed on administrative leave while an administrative review process is underway. We take matters of this nature very seriously and are committed to respecting all individuals involved, as well as the integrity of the process. At this time, no further information is available; however, we will update the church family when we have more information and are legally able to do so.

We ask for your continued prayers for everyone affected. Our staff and lay leaders will continue to faithfully lead and support our student ministry during this time.
