Since 1857 the First Baptist Church of Fort Smith has been impacting the families of the River Valley with the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. We're a church with a wonderful history and a dynamic future, bringing people together to grow in faith, celebrate God with worship, and build meaningful connections that can last a lifetime.
Our historic downtown campus at 1400 Grand Avenue is where it all began, as people called by God planted a church in a town during its rough and tumble days. Our new Chaffee Campus worship service at Festivity, 8400 Massard Road, is the latest chapter in our story of ministry, as we are meeting people in the fastest growing area of Fort Smith.
First Baptist Fort Smith serves every member of your family with ministries, activities and events. We have Preschool Promise Place, Children’s AWANA program, and Student Ministry for 6th grade through High School. We have groups, programs and classes for young adults, median adults, and seniors. Our family is ready to meet your whole family and experience life together in Jesus.
We’re also making a difference in the River Valley through our emphasis on supporting local schools, the blessing of a Hispanic church working on our Downtown campus, helping support a crisis pregnancy center, and our missions partnerships here in Arkansas, internationally in El Salvador and England, and being involved with additional mission works around the world.
